It's called Renz social house now, same owner same everything except the name. Still a great place, great bartenders .

The bar was on the Bar Rescue show and the name was changed to Renz Social House but it is still the same. Same Danika, same Linda, same Shauna. It had a change of decor but the vibe is still the same. Don't miss out and think it's gone.

Rest in Peace beloved Pineapple Hill Grill. This is an updated, posthumous review of a beloved Tustin mainstay for over 30 years that drew a devoted crowd of regulars, particularly at lunch time. One could always count on great food, great service, and great company staff and clientele wise. It was the Cheers of Tustin, if you will, if you are old enough to remember the show. However, very recently, Pineapple Hill got the "Bar Rescue" treatment and is now "Renz Social House." Same owner and same staff as near as I can tell from one visit after the "rescue" but with a quicky face lift, higher drink prices, and new, limited menu. Will it survive the transformation? I sure hope so, but the jury is still out. I say, go and give it a chance, and give it some time. Places like this are few and far between in these parts and are worth supporting.

If you're looking for a fun place to hangout and sing along or take center stage, come on down! I've never eaten here, but heard the food was good. This is your typical dive bar. Nothing fancy. Drinks are strong and the Friday night karaoke is definitely entertaining. My husband and our friends have been coming here for years and only had 1 "bad" incident. A small drunk guy with serious Napoleon complex thought he was the Hulk, and wanted to fight my 6'2 linebacker looking hubby and our equally large friends. Luckily it ended with the guy getting tossed out. There is no cover charge. The drinks are strong and they have plenty of tables. Whether you're singing with the microphone or just singing along, you will undoubtedly wake up the next morning with a hoarse voice and awesome memories.

Happy cheeseburger day!! Had my favorite all time patty melt today to celebrate!! Almost a perfect afternoon aside from the Lions losing & the "chat" upon my arrival to the Hill w/ mgmnt!!! So much for a relaxing afternoon though. Within 1 minute of my arrival, I was asked to "step outside" & I was told by mgmnt that the bartender isn't the same as he used to be so don't get upset w/ him when he can't get the tvs on the game i want to watch as I was last weekend. She didn't like my comments on yelp & wasn't happy that I voiced my expectations in the way I did. she was letting me know that she didn't think I was very nice in how I spoke to the bartender. I had yelped about it & My yelp comments were valid. They were directed @ the tv mgmnt, not the people, which the bartender gets & agrees it's messed up. Mgmnt didn't get my comments/actions & I explained it's what unhappy customers do in hopes for improvement. Otherwise we just don't come back!!! Not everyone gets that, So I get why people don't yelp if this is the reaction they get when they do. My goal was to get the system to improve. I love this place but it isn't always consistent in it's service. It shouldn't be so difficult in today's world to get a game on. I felt bad for the bartender who shouldn't have to worry about the 10 tvs while serving all the customers. My goal was to just see the Detroit lions game. It's what I've come for on many a Sunday!! I was taken a back w/ the conversation & said sorry you feel that way & walked away. I'm not sure what she wanted to accomplish w/ the "outside" conversation. I've been a customer for 30+ yrs. there was no acknowledgment of my continued loyalty despite the many many changes in ownership. Unfortunately things aren't consistent & expectations are not always met depending on who's working. As she's scolding me, I'm thinking it's not the bartenders fault that the tv system in place is way too complicated & always has been & I'm sorry I spoke up & that it's not a concern that my expectations weren't met or that I was frustrated. She didn't like how I voiced my frustration. I also apologized to the bartender if I was too hard on him or spoke badly, he thought nothing of it & understood my frustration. We've known each other a long time. Obviously I continue to patronize the place because if the right people are working it's the best place in town for great food & socialization. We just never know what we will get. The price is right & the people are so friendly. We hope one day someone will realize it's potential. Consistency is key!!! I learned a long time ago that a customer that speaks up is a customer for life. Otherwise they just leave & tell their friends. The Pineapple Hill will always be our 1st choice for patty melts!!!

I don't know if they have karaoke every night. I went on a Tues night and a few patrons looked a little confused when it all went into full swing. Drinks are well poured ;) and my Capt + diet was $6. A few friends had food there but I didn't show up early enough to make the kitchen hrs. The sliders looked juicy and not dry. Hooray; people always tend to butcher those poor little guys. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere was great. I've BEEN karaoking but this was the first time I actually picked up the mic and tried to get the entire bar to join into a song. I think its quaint, not so much "divey" and there's a few sofas to lounge on while you watch or wait for your turn. :) p.s. The actual web site doesn't appear to have much info on it. It actually makes the place look like a nice restaurant with some tame singing on the side. Bring close friends and act like a fool, its a great place to laugh and kick back!
